Shipping Policy

This document defines the pros and cons of the shipping of the products associated with both sellers and customers with Kartwalaa platform.

 Definitions:

  1. Product: Product means an item that is/was displayed on the Kartwalaa portal
  2. Reports: Reports are the statements facilitated on Kartwalaa portal for the vendor to track sales and shipments regarding the product sold on the platform
  3. Settlements: Settlements means the payment received by the vendor for his product sales after deducting all the charges incurred to the company.
  4. Exchange: Exchange is the service provided to the customer to boost the sales and to provide the satisfaction for the customer towards his purchases made through the Kartwalaa platform.
  5. RTO: Return to Origin Charges
  6. R & R Policy: Return and Refund Policy
  7. Penalty: Penalty means the charges levied either for violating the terms and Conditions or for not supplying the satisfactory products

 What are delivery charges?

Usually, Delivery charge varies with each Seller. In order to compensate logistic costs, sellers charge a nominal delivery fee. Please check your order summary to understand the delivery charges.

Does Kartwalaa deliver internationally?

As of now, Kartwalaa doesn’t deliver Products/Items internationally. However, the buyer will be able to make purchases on our site from anywhere in the world with credit/debit cards issued in India, but please ensure the delivery address is in India.

 What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays. Estimated delivery time are provided by considering below factors:

  • Seller offering product
  • Product’s availability with Seller
  • Location of the Seller and Destination of shipping order.

To ensure ease of selling and the best possible customer experience, we mandate delivery to all customers via our logistics partners

 Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner’s time-to-deliver in your location.

Are there any hidden costs on items sold by Sellers?

There are No hidden charges when you make a purchase on Kartwalaa. Listed prices are final and all-inclusive. The price you see on the product page is exactly what you would pay. However, sometimes Delivery charges will be additionally added to the cart items as per the Seller’s shipping policy and the same will be viewed at the time of checkout. Further, Shipping fee is calculated on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. This is to account for items which are lightweight but occupy a lot of shipping space.

How long does it take to process your order?

Usually we process your orders to customers or returns to sellers as early as possible (generally it takes 7 – 8 business days) from the date of order placed or return pickup is scheduled. For more information, please check the delivery and return time-lines described in next section.

Why shipping gets delayed?

It is possible that Seller or our courier partners have a holiday between the day you place your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. Moreover most of our courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sunday’s further impacting shipping. So we add a day to the estimated date and the same will be communicated to the customer through appropriate communication channels.

Why the product does not/cannot ship to my area?

Please enter your pin code on the cart page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location. If you haven’t provided your pin code until the checkout stage, the pin code in your shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on

  • Whether the Seller ships to your location
  • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
  • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

Why is the COD option not offered in my location?

Availability of COD depends on the ability of our courier partner servicing your location to accept cash as payment at the time of delivery. Our courier partners have limits on the cash amount payable on delivery depending on the destination and your order value might have exceeded this limit. Please enter your pin code on the product page to check if COD is available in your location.

I need to return an item, how do I arrange for a pick-up?

Returns are easy. Contact us to initiate a return. You will receive a call explaining the process, once you have initiated a return. Wherever possible, Kartwalaa will facilitate the pick-up of the item. In case, the pick-up cannot be arranged through Kartwalaa, you can return the item through a third-party courier service. Return fees are borne by the Seller.

I did not receive my order but got a delivery confirmation SMS/Email.

In case the product was not delivered and you received a delivery confirmation email/SMS, report the issue within 7 days from the date of delivery confirmation for the seller to investigate.

Information Sharing

We may share personal information with our trusted entities and affiliates (such as sellers or business partners) for purposes of providing products and services offered by them. These entities and affiliates may share such information with their affiliates, business partners and other third parties for providing you their services. This disclosure may be required for us to serve your products and services; for fulfillment of your orders; for enhancing your experience; for providing feedback on products; to collect payments from you; to comply with our legal obligations; to conduct market research or surveys; to enforce our Terms of Use; to facilitate our marketing and advertising activities; to analyze data; for customer service assistance; to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities related to our product and services. On the other side, We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

We provide all users with the opportunity to avoid of receiving non-essential (promotional, marketing-related) communications after setting up an account with us. However, if you are not interested in promotional programs, you can unsubscribe/opt-out the same from us.
